Unhappy Sample Files Used 2010 Excel Home and Student

I am VERY new to Excel (Office) and I am a student at TCC. I have Office 2010 Home and Student on my PC but, the sample files that the tutorial uses have been deleted. (I have determined that they are absolutely deleted from the system (Somehow?)) CAN one of you bright forum members PLEASE show me where I can get a copy of them. I do not have the operating disc(s) and was able to find some files online yet, they are the incorrect ones. Is there ANY WAY someone can help me out. I would greatly appreciate it.

IIRC, these are an optional part of the install process so, rather than having been deleted, they probably weren't installed. if you go to Windows Control Panel > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office > Change > Add or Remove Features, you should be able to install the sample files. You may need to have your original installation media handy.

Thank you so much Paul, they were deleted somehow and when I went to recover them they were "gone". With fingers crossed, I did the steps that you suggested and had no luck. I sure wish it would have been as simple as that. Over the weekend, I found some files that are for an edition of Office, however, they contain shipping and other sample files. The sample files that I am looking for contain different files. After I submit this post, I will make another one to answer this question of mine in case someone else runs into this problem. Thanks

If you go to http://www.Excel2010Tutorial.com you can download the sample files as well as have access to MANY tutorials. I hope this will help someone, in case they run into this problem like I did.

When you went through the process, did you actually expand the various options and make sure the Excel sample files were selected? It seems Excel 2010 has only one sample file, which you'll find in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\SAMPLES

There is also a plethora of sample files available from MS at: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...zxl140&avg=zxl
