Default Conditional formatting issues

Attached is the basics however there are 150 rows

I want to colour A and B columns based on the numbers in C and D columns

So if A1 equals to or is greater than C1 then colour it green, if less than colour it red, B colums is the same but relates to the number in column D.

now I can do this conditional format for one cell at a time, but I need to copy this formula without manually creating it for each celli have (150 x 4 columns), as you can see the numbers differ so i need an easy way to do it for A2 to C2, B2 to D2, A3 to C3 etc and so on.

Any ideas please

Hi sjp1966

For column A, Select column or range of cells > Conditional formatting > New Rule etc.

Condition 1. Greater then equal to C1: =AND($A1<>"",$A1>=$C1) Format as required.
Condition 2. Less the C1: =AND($A1<>"",$A1<$C1) Format as required.

Same for Column B adjust cell references as required

@sjp

Hi,
it's best to add a sample sheet instead of a picture so that we don't have to retype data.
Kevin has tackled this one without effort

apologies about the image, ive changed it to a document.

I tried the conditional format on column A but they have all turned red, so I'm not sure what Ive done wrong. I use Office 2007 if that makes any difference. The sheet (in case your wondering) is relating to industry in a game called eve online.

EDIT
I can see that cell references are wrong so I changed the formula for the number 3 rather than 1 (as the rows start from cell 3) but it still didn't work.

Hi

See the attached I have put the formulas in column A. See the picture within the spreadsheet for where the "New Rule is entered".
