Default vlookup or match

I have a large column of data, column G. I want to find the numbers from column J in column G and highlight them. I think a VLOOKUP will find them but not color or highlight them. Can anyone help me with htis? I am using excel 2007.

Column G
245789
237684
456123
678234
987543
651234

Column J
237684
237774
345987

Select col G starting at G2 - Go to conditional formatting - Insert following formula as condition
Code:
=countif($J$2:$J$50,$G2)
and define the highlighting as needed - Done
Adapt the J range to your needs

Hi uhlersa

Conditional formatting will achieve this. As per your sample data. Select the range of cells in column G (or the entire column) you wish to apply the formatting to. On the home tab > conditional formatting > new rule > use a formula to determine which cells to format. In the box Format values etc: =OR($G1=$J$1,$G1=$J$2,$G1=$J$3)
Format text, fill etc to your requirements.
