Autofit adding extra lines
I have seen numerous references to this problem, but I have never seen a solution.
I use Text wrap and Row Height autofit to display the full text of all the cells in a column. It works as expected - however Excel frequently and annoyingly adds an extra blank line to the cell. From manual trial and error, this extra line seems to be related to how close the last character on the previous line is to the right edge of the cell, but the new line appears well befor it is required. Has anyone ever found a solution to this problem? It is in my opinion a bug in Excel - has it been fixed in Excel 2010? (We have Excel 2003 at the moment). Thanks John |
