Default Can't use a zero in a named cell

I just know there is going to be a really simple answer to this query, but I can't find it...!!

Simply put, I have a named cell on one sheet in a workbook that is referenced from a cell on a second sheet in the same workbook; ergo, any letter or number in the named cell should appear in the second cell.

This all works fine, except when I type a zero in the named cell. I can type a zero in but it won't appear in the second cell.

Hope someone can help.
