How to dynamically link imbedded Excel chart with source data from Word
I have a Word 2007 document with an imbedded Excel chart object. I would like to link the Excel chart graph to data in the Word document. Another words, when I manually change a data value in the Word document, the imbedded Excel chart object (in the same Word document) will dynamically update. How do I achieve this?
- Using MS Office 2007 - Windows XP SP3 - Chose simple column chart type with one series of bars - Tried copying with Paste Special but Paste Link is grayed out Please help. Seems like a simple thing to do but I can't seem to find a way to pull in the data dynamically. Thanks. |

If your last 'copy' action prior to switching to Word was the chart object, I can't see why the 'Paste Link' option would be greyed out - it isn't when I do it.
