Assalam-0-Alaikum.

Is it possible to write down a number starting with zero in excel cell?

e.g 0123456789

when we press enter, 0 disappears from the number.

Thanks,

Set the cell's format to text (right click on the cell or cells, choose Format Cells, on the Number tab click the Text category and then the OK button.)

This means you won't be able to use the value of that number unless you convert it using VALUE(). Also, formulas don't work in text cells.

Instead of formatting as text, enter your number preceded by a single quote

The numeric string being text it cannot be used in some formulas as a number, BUT all arithmetic operations will coerce the text value to a number
In the other cases, when you refer to the cell use A1+0 to coerce to a number
