Default Cut & Paste issue

Is there a way to cut and paste without getting a reference error in a fomula on another sheet. I need to link the data from one sheet to another but be cable to cut a line from one area and put it into another.

Yes.

Huh?

When asking for help, it pays to ask questions in such a way as meaningful answers can be given. So far, all anyone can tell from your post is that you're having some referencing issues when cutting & pasting.

Default Cut & Paste error

Sorry for the confusion. Hope this explains it better.

I'm working on a calendar with formula's

I am trying to cut this line and
acstestpc2,000

paste it to another space but I get an error in my formula.
acstestpc2,000#REF!#REF!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!

In general:
• When you cut & paste a range, any formulae will continue to point to the original locations.
• When you cut & paste a range, any relative address formulae will point to a new original locations.

However, if you:
• cut & paste a range to a destination that was referenced by any formulae, any formulae referencing the destination will be invalidated. This applies regardless of whether the formulae were part of what was cut or were simply referening the destination range from some other part of the workbook.
• copy & paste a range using relative address formulae to a destination that results in those formulae pointing to a on-existent range (eg A-10), those formulae will be invalidated.

If the formulae in the range you're cutting & pasting are being invalidated, that suggests you're pasting to a range that those formulae were referencing.

Hi Paul,
I guess I will have to just copy from one line and paste to another and then go back and delete. I do have the information linked to another spreadsheet, a calendar that needs to be updated constantly.
Thanks anyway.
