Default Visibility of macros in PERSONAL.XLSB

I have about a dozen macros in PERSONAL.XLSB. If I enter a spreadsheet cell and click on the 'fx' button to insert a formula, then select 'User defined' as the category, all the macros in PERSONAL.XLSB are displayed. So far so good. However if I click on the 'Developer' tab in the ribbon, then click on 'Macros' only about four macros are displayed. I can see no difference in the definition of these macros from the others - why doesn't Excel show them all?

Update: OK, I think I see - to show on the Developer/Macro dialog, it must be a Sub with no arguments.
