linked cells
I am trying to series fill linked cells from sheet 1 to sheet 2 but when i copy the first cell and link it ( sheet 1 $a$7) and try to series fill to the next columns it dose not offer to series fill just lets you copy |

The $ symbols are "locks". Remove the "locks" on the part of the reference you want to adjust itself when copied.
$A$1 = locked column, locked row $A1 = locked column, adjustable row A$1 = adjustable column, locked row A1 = adjustable column, adjustable row |

I have tried that it works if you are going down a column but i want to go across columns ie. sheet 1 a1,a2,a3,a4,etc to show in sheet 2 b1,c1,d1,e1 etc without having to copy each one at a time as it may go to sheet 1 a???.

No, that's completely different. But you can create a formula that resolves to the same effect as that. On Sheet2 in cell B1, enter this formula, then copy to the right:
=INDEX(Sheet1!$A:$A, COLUMN(A1)) |
