If/then formulas with data validation
First off, forgive me for any incorrect terminology here, I've been trying to figure this out...but I'm fairly new to all this.
I'm working on a project where I'm using data validation to make little yes/no drop-down menus. For example Has Material been received? (yes/no) <-- lets say thats cells B1 & B2 So the next question in C1 is 'When is material due?' I'd like to make an if/then statement so if they answer yes in cell B2, then the next question is automatically filled in with "N/A" Hope that makes sense...please help! |

Hi shira47,
To do that, you'd need an automatic macro that fires whenever B1 or B2 is updated and either populates C1 with N/A or adds a data validation control to that cell for date entry - then selects C1.
