formula lost when copied between files
when I pasted a group of copied cells with formula in from one file to another (opened by two Excel programs windows at same time). all formula disappeared. just like "paste special-value only". When i checked the menu of "paste special", there was no options but "HTML/Unicode/text". Can anyone help me to find out how to get the cells in one file pasted to another under a different window without losing the formula? Thanks in advances,

thanks for your answer.
the problem is that i use two screens, it is not convenient to stretch the window all way across two screens. In addition, every time a new workbook was open, it takes the two full screens and i have to re-size it in order to work on multiple workbooks side by side. That is why i like work with two Excel windows, each in one screen. sandy |
