Default Excel Chart Template

Hi guys,

Looking for some help with an error I have creating charts on Excel. I actually phoned our IT helpdesk who advised me to ‘google it’ lol

So here it goes..... I have created a chart in excel and trying to change the chart type. So from the ribbon i selected Chart Tools>Design>Change chart type and then Templates (see pic 1 in attachments). Obviously this looks like there is no templates but i know there is!

So anyway, i think i’ll just create new. Again I follow same path Chart Tools>Design>Save Template as. However, when saving the template my PC is trying to save the files within My Documents folder. (see Pic 2). If i select the drop down in the file name box I can see all the template files that i could see as existing in Pic 1 (see pic 3).

Looking at the file name my original templates are saved within Application data\microsoft\templates. So I guess the error is that the templates folder from pic 1 is no longer pointing to Microsoft application data folder. Do you know how to reset this?

Hope this makes sense....

Thanks

Martin
