Default Possibly a VLookup

Sorry in advance if this is already a solution...I don't think I am searching for the right quesiton.
I want a user to enter in a value in one cell and based on that value I want excel to grab a value in the cell beside it to then use in a calculated cell. I've attached a short spreadsheet of what I want not the actual one it will be used in...so it's pretty basic!
I appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Hi
Perhaps =5*VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1!$A$1:$B$282,2,FALSE)
where A1 is the entered value.
Does the user enter the exact value as described in col A or could it be something like 3.52 ?

I don't understand... I see how that will do the calculation if I tell it what cell to look at. But how would it work if the information is supposed to be pulled from the row of cells. Maybe I asked the wrong question. There will be 2 sheets (one sheet has the 2 columns in the excel file I attached. the other sheet will be where the user enters a value in cell B2 that would correspond to a value in Sheet1 somewhere in column A...the value I want it to return is whatever is in the B column beside the value. Does that make any sense?
