Sort range of dates into weeks
I have a spreadsheet with a range of random dates in column A. I am looking for a way to group the dates into weeks.
For example if the date range contains the dates: 8/31/2020 9/3/2020 9/6/2020 9/8/2020 9/18/2020 The result would look something like: 8/31/2020 to 9/3/2020 = WEEK 1 9/6/2020 to 9/18/2020 = WEEK 2 Screen shot of actual sheet attached. Thanks MAC |

Cant you just upload the workbook rather than a word doc with a screen shot?
Try pivot tables - you can group by 7 days and works well nornmally |

Pivot grouped by dates.
There were a couple of dates in as text which need to be fixed. is this what you were after or do you need a week number? Last edited by Purfleet; 09-14-2020 at 11:15 AM. Reason: attachment |

When I created a new pivot table I can't group by time. How do you turn that on?

Thank you for your help, with it have been able to get it working the way I wanted it to. You are correct on the date issue. The data imported into the worksheet was not a date data type. When that was corrected it worked perfectly.
Thanks Again |
