Default Generate daily report from different columns

Hello!

I have a very simple Excel file which have 5 columns with different data. Itīs attached as reference.

I wonder if it is possible to get some info based on column "DATE IN" or "DAY OFF".

The information that I want to get together in one click is the following:

1. Total number of READERS per day. So if Claire appears twice, it should be counted as one only.

2. The total number of BOOKS per day. No matter if Claire appears twice, it should be counted as two.

3. The total number of PAGES per day.

Ideally, it should be provided with a pop-up message. If it is not possible, it can be generated in another Sheet.

Also, I want to get some kind of alert when the number of PAGES per day exceeds 600 pages. I think that a pop-up message would be useful too.

Finally, in the tab "mailgroup", there are a couple of emails, so if the results can be sent to them, that would be fantastic.

Would this be possible?

Many thanks in advance and sorry if I am asking too much!

re:"2. The total number of BOOKS per day. No matter if Claire appears twice, it should be counted as two."
Can Claire appear twice in a single day with the same book, and would it count as two books?
Perhaps you meant "2. The total number of BOOKS per day. No matter if the same book appears twice, it should be counted as two."?

Anyway, is this picture showing the right results for the data in your attachment?:

Hello p45cal,

Yes sorry, youīre absolutely right.

I meant to say "2. The total number of BOOKS per day. No matter if the same book appears twice, it should be counted as two."

Hope this is clear to you now.

Many thanks!

Iīm impressed. Not only for the technical but also for the instructions and pictures!

I wonder if we can go a little bit further.

Is it possible to get some kind of alert when the total number of pages per day exceeds 500 pages? I think a pop-up message would be perfect.

And one more thing as I want to use the data of column PAGES. Letīs say that one person is able to read 200 pages per day. In that case, the ratio would be 200 pages in 8 hours. So what I want to know is how many people is needed to read 2900 pages in one day, taking into account that one person can read 200 in one hour.

Is this feasible?

Thanks so much!

Total number of pages read by one person in a day, or numbers of pages read by everyone over a day?

Is there an anomaly here?; please clarify.

It should be total number of pages over a day, no matter how many pages are read.

I simply need an alert when the total number of pages per day in column C exceeds 500 pages. Using the Excel file as reference, the total number of pages that we have on 31 March are 2900 pages, so I want an alert for such cases.

With regard to the second question, thatīs my fault, I meant to say "...taking into account that one person can read 200 pages in one day."

Thanks in advance!

In the attached, a couple of buttons to highlight the days where more than 500 pages have been read.
The number of people needed to read x pages in a day is x/200. You might want to round it up.
