Default Need Help Creating a Macro

Hi all,

I have a file with approximate 13,000 rows. In Column G, I would like to search for the word "DIGITSSE" (this word may repeat over 75 times or more) and when found, I would like the macro to copy the word "NC" to the left (in Column F) of the word "DIGITSSE".

As always thank you in advance for your support.

Cheers!

You don't need a macro for that - it can all be done with a simple formula in column F.

Hi Macropod,

I was hoping I could automate it without having to sort it or write a formula for it. That, I think won't be a difficult task.

Thanks!

Well, you've been around long enough and been given plenty of help with code that loops through rows and tests the content of a cell. So how about investing some effort of your own? This isn't a free coding service for those who expect to be spoon fed.

Hi Macropod,

Thank you for your response. For the record, I'm not expecting at all to be spoon fed. Being around long enough does not mean that I know everything. I already spent some time looking around, but, of course, I will continue my effort to find a solution. Like I said before, I could go different ways to get a result.

To finalize, thank you for your advise. Chances are, at some point, you'll disagree with others who post in the forum. That's okay. Agree to disagree and I respect your opinion.

Much appreciated.

It's not a question of whether I agree with something, but a question of what effort you're investing in learning how to do things. I see little evidence of that when you've been given code to do very similar things in the past but you're still asking...
