Default Conditionnal userform possible?

Hi,

Do you think it would be possible to have a conditionnal userform, depending on data entered by the user?

Here's what I want to do:
The user enter a letter assigned to an area and a then a number which correspond to the number of objects found in this area. So user enters letter A and number 15, then a second userform opens whith 15 rows marked A1, A2, A3,... to A15 and the user just have to enter the description for each object.

Then of course all these data will be stored in the worksheet and the userform reset for area B or C....

I'm not asking here for someone to write the code for me or anything like that. I just want to know if it's possible and maybe a tip or two ;-)

Thanks

Sounds like you are unnecessarily complicating the process for the user.

What is the purpose of this project ? Completing an invoice ... entering inventory received ... tracking items ?

Provide additional information of the overall goal and perhaps a more effective solution can be presented.

The purpose is to make an inventory of objects found in different rooms or areas.
And if possible, the user wont have to enter every "reference" of each object (A1,A2,...)

Ok ... your goal is a little clearer now.

What happens if the user starts with 15 rows but after entering a few items, they discover the need for 17 rows ... or the actually only needed 12 rows ? In either situation the user is already restricted to 15 rows. Do they delete everything they have already entered and start over ?

Why the specific need to restrict the user from the beginning to X number of rows ?

I don't really need to restrict the user to a fixed number of rows but I'd like the reference (A1,A2,...) to be written automatically so the user just have to enter the description.
Thanks for your userform, the idea is good, I'll work to add the reference automatically ;-)

It's possible, whether it's worth it or not is debatable.

I think the very simplest way to deal with this would be using Excel's built-in data form.
It's very simplistic and you can use it straight away and it requires no programming.

Being a glutton for punishment though, I had to have a kick at the cat with a User form.
This puts two hundred text boxes into a scroll-able frame on the user form and who knows what would be required from there, more work than I'd want to do.

Good luck with your project.
