Exclamation Microsoft visual basic for applications - errors occurred during load.

We have a .NET desktop application which has many hyper links to macros enable excels (saved in local PC) built by some other developers team, whenever user clicks those links and tying to open excel, an error message pops up:

"Microsoft visual basic for applications - errors occurred during load."

in continuation user gets below error:

"Cannot run the macro <macro_name>.The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may have been disabled"

Note: I can't edit excel as it is password protected
I tried repairing office 365, dint work, tried reinstalling dint work.

Can someone please help on this?
