Question XML Schema Parent Child Extraction

(Attached sample view of "SOURCE" window) Based on the following excerpt from the Microsoft site, the task of XML to Excel IS POSSIBLE, but just not sure how to achieve it using VBA... I've used/seen a lot of amazing vba code extractions from xls, doc, ppt, etc - but no clue with .XML as that's a whole different monster in my mind.

GOAL: Create an Excel Module that will suck out PARENT CHILD relationships from a (W3C XML Schema (.xsd) file. Having the result as a "drillable" table - or visually lay it out in columns that shows the levels from Parent to Child is the hope...
The attached image shows a small sample of the structure I'm working with and this shows 9 levels/layers -- but I'm guessing there's even more! (and that's what I need to see -- how many, what's critical, etc.)

Since Excel does a beautiful job of outlining the structure within the tiny "SOURCE" window of Excel, surely it can lay something similar into a sheet that will show the PARENT CHILD relationships!?

EXCERPT:

Microsoft Excel makes it easy to import Extensible Markup Language (XML) data that is created from other databases and applications, to map XML elements from an XML schema to worksheet cells, and to export revised XML data for interaction with other databases and applications.

The source pg (provided below) has a lot of interesting info- but with the large structure I'm working with -- I don't think their method is viable.

I've played around with the "SOURCE" feature of Excel and can't figure out a good way to quickly extract out a PARENT CHILD kind of basic table, pivot table, or something like an outlined layout that's drillable (whatever's easiest)... The challenge is, the file I'm working with has over 8,000 items in it -- so to try to navigate the full stair-stepping structure within the TINY "SOURCE" window is nothing but heartburn..

Does anyone know of a way to easily extract using VBA?

Here's the source page noted above that might give an idea of how to accomplish: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...c-c9e9752a7d80
