Default Weekly Calendar- at a loss

Good afternoon,

So I'm trying to make a weekly calendar where departments can reserve a building. This is what I've gotten so far:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/uohjhmi2a0...Hall.xlsm?dl=0

What I'm trying to figure out:

1. Inside the sheet "Weekly Task Schedule" a box pops up over the area where you input your information. How do i get rid of that?

2. I'm still trying to figure out a way to highlight the boxes once someone inputs their information to prevent someone else coming in behind them and over book. All events take up one hour and drill does two. So for drill it would automatically highlight more blocks to show a two hour time period. Is this possible?

3. How do I track changes on another sheet? So I want to have a tracker on another sheet that will give me a list of each event that got added and by who. Also, could I track a username of who ever saved any changes?

4. I'm not sure why but the data doesn't shift as the dates move down each day. So every new day I open it up I should have a blank day but the data doesn't shift. The dates are in cells B&C8 (merged), D&E8(merged), F&G8(merged), H&I8(merged), J&K8(merged), L&M8(merged), and N&O8(merged). The contents from Cells B&C10-40 will correlate with the date in B&C8, and so on. So when the new date starts they will all shift over.

#4 is probably the most important. The goal is to have this program run itself so i don't have to go into every day and update it. I've been working on this for a while and have posted it numerous places.

Again thank you!

@ 04herrs

Please don't quote entire posts, it's not necessary and just clutters up the forum, thanks.

Read this http://www.excelguru.ca/content.php?184 for an understanding regarding cross posting. It makes things easier for everybody when you include links.

#1 situation is from data validation. All the data validations have the check box checked to display an input message.

#3 can be achieved using the worksheet_change event but you'd need to elaborate on the who, what and where aspect of things.

#2 maybe conditional formatting, although I don't know if shifting the day schedules would wipe out the CF or not. Maybe using the worksheet_change event needed here also.
