CYFire is on a distinguished road
Default CommandButton, 3 PCs with 3 different office(s)

Hello everyone,

just now entered this forum because of this problem I have:

Sitting in one officeroom with 3 different computers with 3 different office solutions: MSOffice 2010, MS Office 2003, OpenOffice. All on Win7 64bit.
My company uses OpenOffice in general, but just recently. On my Email-PC I could get an MSO2010 for preenting formating issues and my old PC has still an version of MSO2003 additionally to OpenOffice.
I know this is MSOfficeforum, not OpenOffice, but maybe you could help:

I've built kind of an electronic cash book for a certain kind of bill (in an doctor's office). On Sheet 1 there should be an Input line with ongoing listing, on Sheet 2 the analysis and database.

I've copy+pasted a commandbutton of another of my (working!) lists, which should copy the data of the input line in the next free row(or column? sorry german ) of Sheet 1, then delete the data from the probably changing input cells and change the bill count +1 to prepare the next input.

This I did on MSO2010. I also gave some of the input-cells a validity (? in German MS03 "Gültigkeit" in MS10 "Datenüberprüfung") to my Database in Sheet 2.

It all worked fine. Saved it as both .xlsm (final) and .xls (functional but not finished).

Now on both other PCs neither the CB nor the validity do work, neither the .xlsm nor the .xls.
The original CB of my other list works (at least on MS03 AFAIK), though, but in this list, all I can do is moving the button, not even entering the textbox or even altering its properties.

What could have gone wrong? And does anybody know if OpenOffice even has something as the makrodesigner of MSO?

Sorry for bad English, please.

The main problem is that your IGeL-Buch 2016.xls file has nearly 2000 links to the IGeL-Buch 2016.xlsm file, on the 'Preise & Auswertung' sheet. Consequently it is trying to retrieve the data from the 'Dateneingabe' sheet on the IGeL-Buch 2016.xlsm file instead of from its own 'Dateneingabe' sheet. Fix that and your command button should work. You can do that by using Find/Replace to delete the IGeL-Buch 2016.xlsm file's path and name from the formulae on the 'Preise & Auswertung' sheet.

I don't know what macro support OpenOffice has but, whatever it is, it is unlikely to support Excel macros and neither would OpenOffice macros be likely to work in MS Office.
