Using Excel have created a shop transfer note, these need to have individual rolling serial numbers

Hi folks,

Could anybody tell me how to create a rolling serial number that changes automatically on excel either each time you open the document with new number or when printing increases number with each page. Really am a total novice, so very basic instructions please. Any help gratefully received. Thank you
