I managed to get remote connection to the pc in the other office.
The same file opened from shared hdd works there.
the difference i see is that e.g.

commandbutton was originally class commandbutton
the desktop in the other office changed it to class commandbutton2

this has been done for all objects, even named ranges doesnt work.

any ideas how to revert those changes made by the desktop so that the file is not screwed please?

thanks,

Peter

and lastly the problem seems to be reference MS Forms that is creating #2 of each object class.
the desktop was 32bit using /system32/FM20.DLL while laptop is using /sysWOW62/FM20.DLL

can this be the reason? Is 32 and 64 bit OS using different MS forms?

thanks,
Peter
