Create Excel Macro to Insert Lozenge Symbol
I would like to create a macro in Excel that would insert a special character (lozenge) ◊. I go to the Developer page and select Record Macro. I give it a shortcut name (ctrl-D) then go through the steps to insert the symbol and end the recording. When I run it, though, it inserts a question mark. Is it not possible to do what I want? I've tried editing the macro after I've created it, but that won't let me insert the lozenge, either. Any help will be appreciated. If it is indeed impossible to insert this symbol, are there other symbols I can insert? Thanks. |

Yes, this worked great. I had to unhide the PERSONAL.XLSB workbook in order to edit the macro to put in the code you gave me. (When I recorded it, it put in the question mark.) When I did that, that workbook would open every time I opened Excel, instead of a blank workbook. I didn't want that happending, so it took me awhile to figure out I had to re-hide the PERSONAL.XLSB workbook to keep that from happending. Thanks much!!
