Default Paste special an Excel range into Outlook as an Excel Worksheet

I can (of course) select a range in Excel 2003 and paste special the range into an Outlook 2003 email as a "Microsoft Excel Worksheet".

I don't see any way to do this via VBA. VBA Help, the object model and Google haven't helped me find an answer.

Is there a way to do this? If not, is there a way to force the in-construction email to be visible so I can manually do the Paste Special?

Chuck

Basically, you'd need to use Word as your email editor, and use its Paste Special functions. See: http://www.outlook-answers.com/micro...o-outlook.aspx

Default Pasting Excel object into Outlook

Paul -

I don't think your link is about the same thing. I want to paste an Excel range into Outlook as an OLE object, and that doesn't seem to be the point of your link.

As for needing Word to be my email editor, on my machine it is not the editor yet I can manually paste special the Excel range into Outlook and it works perfectly.

Hi Chuck,

Indeed we are. Although you can use PasteSpecial through Outlook's GUI, Outlook has no vba equivalent of the PasteSpecial function. The only way around that is to automate Word as Outlook's email editor and use Word's vba PasteSpecial function.

For a discussion, see: http://www.outlookbanter.com/outlook...ste-paste.html
