Cutting and Pasting and Macro problems in Excel 2010
I have two problems with Excel 2010:
1 If a spreadsheet has a macro, however small, and therefore becomes a .xlsm file it takes an age (well, at least a minute) to open and close. With earlier versions of Excel there was no problem (ie they opened and closed instantly). 2 If I edit a spreadsheet by cutting and pasting an area the spreadsheet will subsequently become unresponsive when trying to close it and the only way out is to use Task Manager to end the process. Naturally I then have lost all the editing I did. Are these changes to Excel's behaviour well known and has anyone any ideas on how I might solve the problems, please? Many thanks |

Thanks, Pecoflyer. Unfortunately it's Windows 7. But I'll try repairing that. Might help, as you imply.

Hi enkel,
To repair Office 2010, you need to close all Office apps and use the Office installer's 'repair' function via 'Programs and Features' in the Windows Control Panel.
