Default Creating a Newsletter in Word/Outlook

I want to create a very simple newsletter for myself. I had already created the basic design template I wanted to use in Adobe Illustrator and exported it as a GIF. I then brought this GIF into Word and inserted texted boxes over the picture where I wanted there to be text. The problem is, when went into web page preview, it separated the image on one page, and the text positions on the second page instead of just keeping everything exactly where I had posititioned the text over the newsletter template image. I tried doing this same process in Outlook, bringing the image in, then inserting text boxes, but once I sent it to myself, it again, separated the image and the text into two completely different pages. Is there any way I can just keep all of it how I am viewing it in Word without having to export it as a PDF? I want the newsletter to be right in the body of my emails and not as an attachment..

Hi pmaurer,

That's the way some email programs work. At the very least, you'd need to send and receive the email in HTML format. Even if you do send an HTML email from Outlook, there's no guarantee your recipients' email programs would render it the same way. A PDF attachment is the safest -and is easier for the recipients to save to disk in a readily-useable format.
