| Can I Lock The Size Of A Picture when inserting?

I'm using Office 365 to produce a document to use during assessments. I've inserted a small table into which we put photos downloaded from OneDrive. The problem is that whenever we insert a photo it resizes the box of the table so we have to resize the photo until the box returns to the right size. Is there any way to lock the box size so that when I insert a photo the photo will automatically resize so it fits within the box? |

Try using a Picture Picker Content Control. This control is found under the Developer Tab. Here is a screen shot showing the same picture inserted or pasted directly vs one using a picture picker content control. |

Note, this does not work with .png images but does work with .jpg images. Oops, this is mistaken! However, the picture must be inserted using the control, not by pasting. |

I gave it a go and it works, but unfortunately it takes longer to do than dragg, drop, and resize. Thanks for the help though. |

Another alternative would be a single-cell table with the cell height and width restricted.

| Quote:
 • row height, use Table Tools>Layout>Properties>Row>Specify Height>Exactly. • column width, first uncheck the 'automatically resize to fit contents' option under Table Tools>Layout>Properties>Table>Options. Then set the preferred column width under Table Tools>Layout>Properties>Columns. You might also want to set the cell margins to 0 all round. It's also a good idea to format the cell paragraph with 0 before/after spacing. And, since you have multiple pics to insert, see: Automate the Insertion of Multiple Images into a Document
