Import Vector Image into Word 2013
How do I import a vector image (not pixel) from a software such as Coreldraw or Adobe Illustrator into MS Word 2013?
Thank you |

You will need to export the graphics from those packages into a vector format which can be imported by Word. Most of the formats that Word is happy to import are raster (pixel-based) so there aren't a lot of acceptable vector formats and I've had problems with them all in the past.
The vector graphic formats from Windows that you could try are EMF or WMF. You can also import an EPS but that may appear poorly on screen because it requires a low-res tiff header to be visible (or at least it used to 20+ years ago). If you are planning on delivering a PDF version of the Word document then EPS is a good vector format to use but it likely won't look good while you are in Word. I gave up years ago on getting trouble-free vector graphics out of Corel and Illustrator for use in MS Office. The goto format I use now is PNG which is not a vector format but does support transparency. For graphics which have considerable photographic content I would use JPG unless transparency is required. In my opinion, PNG gives the best possible combination of file size and quality but you do need to ensure you export it with enough resolution to match the intended use.
