Since my Windows/Word 2016 updated several days ago (October of 2021), the appearance of the shape selection box has changed. I opened a document that I made a few weeks ago to edit it.
The shape selection box used to look like a rectangular box of thin black lines around the shape, with "grab" points at the corners and in between. Now, I have little grey squares and little curves arrows surrounding the shapes. I used to be able to group a bunch of shapes and then move and resize them all together by grabbing a point on the group rectangle and dragging. Now, if I grab a grey spot after grouping the shapes and text boxes, the objects are mixed up and the "bring to front" (layers?) is changed. Is this a settings problem that I can reset, a corrupted document, or is it a permanent change in Word? Thanks for your help. Last edited by geneagray; 10-19-2021 at 10:46 PM. |
