Default Randomly positioning images

I'm writing a report in Word and have an annex at the end where there will be 3 pages of randomly sized images that I wish to randomly position on the page. There will be no text. I'm having trouble positioning the images on the page. Can someone please advise me on this? Thanks

What do you mean by 'randomly position'. There is nothing 'random' about how Word places images. You may find Photo Gallery Add-in Template useful, as that was intended for putting images in reports.

Hi, thanks for reply. I'm so used to using Photoshop where you open images, click on them and drag to position them anywhere you like on the page without restriction. I'm writing a report in Word and find that collating images on a page is very restrictive. I have numerous images of all different sizes and wish to position them on a page in positions that look right. Something similar to what I'm trying to achieve can be found here...Portfolio Gallery – Image Gallery Plugin – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org If you scroll way down until you find the heading SCREENSHOTS, then you will have an idea of what I'm aiming for. Thanks

Unfortunately for your requirement, Word is not a page layout application and what you are trying to achieve would be quite difficult. One possibility is to insert the images either in front of or behind text (you can set these options from File > Options > Advanced > Cut Copy and Paste > Insert/Paste pictures as: ) You can then drag the images from Windows File Explorer and drop them in the page and drag to place.

You will also probably have to adjust the sizes of the images to get them to fit where you wish. Using a table (as in my previous suggestion) works better for Word image collections.

Thanks for reply. I've been thinking about this again and I think I'll try this. In Photoshop I can scale and position the images to suit the layout on an A4 page/canvas. then save it as a .jpg. Then I can insert an image, (.jpg) into the word A4 page, and if both A4's are the same size in both progams, (as they should be), then the inserted .jpg should cover the Word page exactly. I'll try this tonight. If it works then it will solve my 'random images positioned randomly' problem.
