Default Is there a smart art that would do this?

I'm looking to create what's known as a "coterie chart". It's a technique used in fiction writing/creation that maps out relationships between characters.

Essentially, it's a set of boxes with labeled arrows between them, showing what each thinks of the other. An example is below.

I've been trying to do this with Word 2007 Smart Art - e.g., something in Relationships or the Cycle Multidirectional, but it doesn't quite work. I specifically need two labeled arrows. Of course, I can lay it all out manually with Shapes, but no two charts are the same and I'd love to find something that is reusable like an org chart. I don't need the pictures - just a box with text in it would be fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Is it possible to design your own Smart Art templates?
