Default Create a cover page from image

I know this topic has been covered many times I have searched the net but I haven 't found a solution using Word version 16.16.10 which I think is Word 2018.

I have got thus far and then I am stuck. I have opened a new document using A4 borderless, placed my specifically designed in Photoshop cover image (210 x 297mm) and dragged until it fits.

From here I am stuck .. I cant see my cursor anymore and pressing enter does not create a next page, that I can then somehow create with normal margins?

Appreciate any help.

I think it is a case of changing the ‘Wrapping’ of the inserted image.
I know the Mac version of Word differs a little to the Windows versions, but give this method a try if you have the options to do so.

Insert your image, then change the Wrapping by either the appearing ‘Layout Options’ or by the Format tab > WrapText.
Use the Behind Text option.
Now resize the image to suit your page.
Now, single click on the image, then press any key.
Now press the Back(space) key to remove the character that has just been typed.
Use the Enter key to go down the page and then add content to the created pages.
Check the Print Preview to see your document pages. You may have to use the zoom options to see additional pages.

Click the image below to see a short video of the above process.

Another option you could use is insert the image into the Header, resize, then opt to have that header on the first page only.
The image will appear washed out, but that's OK, it will print at normal quality.
let me know if thats an option you want to see.

OMG if I could jump through my computer screen, I would give you the biggest hug.
Beautifully explained and the little video aww .. you have literally saved me hours of frustration. Using word for mac and yes there are little differences between each version and update.

Thanks again
