This one stumps me:
On a family member's W10, Office 2010 (I think) machine, I set a paragraph of text in several fonts, alternately trying Arial, Palace Script, and Edwardian Script, and formatted a downloaded free clip-art image with wrapping behind text. In each case, when dragged behind the text, only in thin slices of the image appeared in-between the lines, but the image was otherwise blocked out.
I attempted to place the image in the header, and even tried the watermark function, with the same results each time. And here's the really surprising occurrence: I then copied the text and pasted it back in as a Windows metafile and still got the same result! I tried several images; none had copyright watermarks, though the behavior would not necessarily be affected by that anyway.

What's going on here?

Out of curiosity, what text lines are you referring to and how were they created?

Ah! The lines are a Biblical quote, but now that you mention it, I suspect they were copied and pasted straight from the web. I'll clear the formatting when I get home tongiht and see what happenes. I suppose they could have come into Word with a white shading or similar character styling. I should have thought of that. Thanks.

Apparently, your text has background shading applied.
