Default How is it possible that these are both centered?

MS word has magically decided that these images which appear on consecutive pages are BOTH centered. But clearly they are not.

How do I correct this? I have double, triple checked that the "Center (Ctrl+E)" is enacted on both of them when they are selected. Thanks.

Without knowing what your document's page setup is, an what the images are centred in relation to, it's impossible to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Are both objects "In line with text"? If one of them is not, its position won't be affected by center alignment applied to a text paragraph.

As Paul suggested, we really need to have a look at an example document.
