You can crop an inserted image to a shape. The shape best suited to your task perhaps would be the oval shape.
My example uses Word 2016, but 2010/2013 will be the same. I have also hidden the Ribbon with only the Tabs showing to show more of the content. Click the image below to see a short video of how it’s done: ![]() |
