Default How to cut and paste a graphic to a different page in word.?

i want to copy an autoshape which is gropued with a text box from page one of a 30 page document. I copy the shape and then go to the page i want to put it (and click where i want it to go) but when i press paste it pastes the duplicate a few mm from the origional in page one. the only way i can then get it to the page i want is to hold it and move it towards the bottom of the page and wait 10 minutes for it scroll to the page i want. that is stupid. is there not a better way? ta for any help

Have you tried the old way of pasting? Right click on the page and choose Paste.
It just worked for me.
