Background Image Tiling
I have an image that I have as a background in my Word document. The image itself is sized perfectly so I can align my text to it. However, when I print, I do not want to background image to print as it is there merely to align my text. I added the background using Design > Page Color > Custom Image > Fill Effects > Picture.
so I suppress the background and it doesn't print. Not an issue - works fine on my computer. I sent the file to a colleague, and the image background is tiled on her end which defeats the purpose to aligning our fields to the background. So I made the background a watermark (which removed the tiling) but then I can't get it to not print. I made the background image into the header, but again, it printed and I do not need the background to print. Any help would be appreciated. |

You can prevent a watermark from printing by clearing the option to "Print drawings created in Word" at File | Options | Display.
However, since that option is user-specific and machine-specific, it won't apply when you send the file to someone else, unless the recipient also clears that same option. As an alternative, you can convert the document to a PDF before sending it to your colleague.
