Default Add color gradient to element?

Is there a way to add a color gradient instead of a fill for a given element? Examples include table sells, and also style elements such as titles and headers.

Edit: This is for a work computer. It's Office 2007.

Still curious about this. I'm aware a text-box can achieve this, to some extent, but I still can't do it in a table cell or otherwise.

I don't think it can be done as a table cell fill.

The best workaround I could offer is to create a drawing canvas or rectangle and float that behind the table or text element you want to shade.

For titles, you can use WordArt which will allow gradient. Word 2010 and later allow gradient colors in regular text.
