Default Rotating Images in Document

I used to be able to copy a single page Word file into a larger Word document and could resize or rotate it after entering a short cut command (e.g. Shift+Alt+???) but cannot remember what those commands were. I was using Office Suite 2010 and am now using Office Suite 2013.

I don't want to use the select all (from the source document) and paste special as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile) in the target document because for some reason the print quality on the copied page is not as good as my original approach.

Does anyone know what the short command is?

Bruce

Alt-J, A, Y then L for left, R for right. Alternatively, someone might have assigned their own keyboard shortcut to Categories:Page Layout Tab>Commands:MoreRotationOption.

I tried and it did nothing for me. I cannot rotate or resize the image [copied from another Word document] ...

Did you actually have the image selected?

A bit more information ...

I copied my source content [another single page Word document] as Paste Special > Microsoft Word Document Object

I could use the Paste Special > Picture (Enhanced Metafile) but for some reason the print quality of this content is affected with this approach.

I can resize the image after I change the layout from inline with text to something else [e.g. tight] but cannot rotate the image. This option remains greyed out in the format tab ...

Again, is there a command that can release this restriction and allow me to rotate the image. I could do this before but cannot remember what that command is ...

In a new blank page, insert a Text Box and remove the borders.
Now paste the Object into the Box and use the rotate handle to rotate the Text Box/Object.

Well, that's not a image, is it?? Evidently, then, the paste format you're using now is not the same as you were using previously.

Paul, it might be an image [e.g. I honestly do not know] ...

I am copying and pasting a full one page Word document into another larger Word document to preserve the print quality. But the good news is that I (re)discovered what those commands were: Shift+Ctrl+F9 ...

Those commands will enable me to format [e.g. resize and rotate] the inserted object [e.g. image] as a picture.
