Sure you can type text in labels, but your document doesn't contain any. What your document contains is a set of grouped rectangular auto-shapes with rounded corners.



If you want to create labels, use Word's label tools (found under Mailings|Labels). In this case, it looks like you're trying to reproduce Avery J8163, J8363, J8563, L6054 - L6057, L7063, L7163, L7263, L7963, or equivalent, labels for A4 stock.
