Changing Photo's Sizes without losing Quality
Hi
This is the process in which I transfer a photo to Word: Clicking Print Screen button on Keyboard, Paste the photo in a software (like Snagit), Save it and finally Insert it in Word without changing in sizes. 1- Does this process make the best quality of photos in my document? 2- If I change the sizes of the photo in Word (to make it smaller), the quality of the photo will be decreased or not changed? thank you very much. |

If I want to modify images without losing quality, I do it in graphics programs like the Snagit Editor then save as a .png file and import into Word in the final form. I haven't answered your question, I'm sorry. I don't know that Word degrades images but suspect that it will.

At full size, anything you copy with a screen-capture software will have whatever resolution your screen displays. Typically, that's only around 96-120ppi. That's hardly what anyone would call 'best quality'. Rescaling the image won't improve its quality - you may not notice how poor its quality is, though, if you reduce it to half the original size or less; indeed, the 'apparent' quality may increase. If you want to insert an image into a Word document and achieve all of whatever resolution that image supports, insert the actual file, not a screen-dump.

macropod;
I do not want to improve the quality with rescaling. I just want not to lose the quality with making a photo smaller. What will happen in quality if an actual photo be inserted into Word and make it's sizes smaller? Does Word maintain the quality of photos while making the photo smaller from Picture Tools>Format tab? |

Why don't you try it and see, instead of wasting other people's time on something that really isn't worthy of a forum discussion? I have already answered your question!!!

Typically, you only see a reduction in image quality if you increase the size of an image, especially if the original image a lower resolution. When you decrease the size of an image, the quality should not be worse than the original.
