Photos not compressing correctly
My computer did an update a few weeks ago and ever since I have had trouble with attaching photos to my word documents. When saving documents with photos the size of the file is quite large too as opposed to previous files prior to the update. We are building inspectors and require anywhere from 10 to 80 photos on each report. I have retyped my whole template in the hopes that this will fix the problem as the previous template was typed up back in 2011. I had a tech from Microsoft tap into my computer to get the problem sorted. Apparently the email option in the compress pictures section doesn't work so he has me selecting the High Fidelity option. My word documents are so slow now. I need to put in a description of every photo on the report and this takes me on average around 15 minutes as opposed to 5 minutes previously. When I compress pictures it is giving me different menus too. Used to be Compress pictures and I would select all pictures in document - easy as that. It now gives me a different menu. Any help would be appreciated.

It does on my PC. Admittedly I'm using Office 2010, but that shouldn't make any difference. It's possible, though, that you have a faulty Office installation. Have you tried repairing it (via Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office (version) > Change > Repair)?

Thanks for that. I'm doing a repair now. Just took me 5 hours to type 3 reports.
