I have opened the text for a three page report. To the left are three small images - one for each page. How do I remove those small images?

My apologies for delay in responding. Been searching my info in order to make a screen shot (screen grab) of my problem.
Alas, no luck. In my experience, these once-in-a-while situations prove to be very embarassing to one of limited experience.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

How to Print Screen:

All you have to do is push this little key and then paste (Ctrl+V)it where you want it. I usually use MS Paint (<3) (:

If your keyboard doesn't look like that one. Try above your Backspace key, or near your F12 or...Around there somewhere -_-...It will be called "Print Screen" or "Prt Sc" or something like like.

To post your pictures in this Forum, when typing your posts, make sure you have clicked the Advanced Post option below the typing window, it will then be like an email, where you can click on the little paper clip to attatch images.

Once you know how to print screen we can help you with the real problem ^_^

Just a thought, Robert, but is this a Word document (.doc or .docx) or a PDF (.pdf)? If it's a PDF, opening in Adobe Reader, you will get images of the pages down the left-hand side of the screen (like in the image below). They are for navigating in long documents. You can hide them by clicking the X just above them.

I'm working with a .DOC file of one page which is repeated to the left of the printed file.
I have made a copy of the screen by clicking Shift/Print Scr.
Then, we opened Ms Paint, clicked on Edit, and saved the "tester.bmp" file in my pictures folder.
I don't see the "Advanced Post" Option below the typing window.
How is my "tester.bmp" file sent to you?

Find the advanced post button here.

Attach your pictures by clicking this little guy.

And it will take you to this page.

Then, simply browse for the pictures you wish to upload, and click upload.

Hi Robert
It may be that you are viewing the document with the Navigation Pane open, showing Thumbnails (small images of each page). See the screen grab below. This was taken on a Mac, but would be similar on a PC with Word 2003 (not sure about 2007). If this is the case, the thumbnails are just for navigating in the document -- they don't print. To turn them off, go to the View menu and click Navigation Pane.

I think Steve is on to a winner.

In 2007 you can find this Thumbnail option under the View tab.
And then just uncheck the box.

Thank you both for all the help you have given me in solving my problem of the images to the left of my printout.
As you suggested I clicked on Edit in my Word 2003 and then Thumbnaills and the images were gone.
I am still befuddled by all the received instructions about creating and sending a file to you. No fault of yours - it seems too much for me to grasp in order to put steps in their right sequence. Well,back to the drawing board.
