That really has nothing to do with the OP's problem, since the wrap formatting of metafile pictures and PaintBrush objects can both be changed - and nothing in Word 2010 has changed in that regard. If anything, the OP's Office installation might have needed repairing.

Please also don't resurrect old threads. It's unlikely the issue is still 'live' so long after it was raised.
