Default Pasting Default Wrap Text

Hi everyone,

I paste a lot of images into my word document, and even though I have changed in the advanced settings the default paste function to read "In front of text" it always pastes in line, no matter what I do. It's really frustrating. Any advice? I'd just like to be able to paste and have it be the way I want instead of having to change each image every single time I paste. I tried macros as well and none of them let me macro a wrap text point.

Help?

Thanks!

I assume you mean you'd set the default paste option to 'in front of text', via File>Options>Advanced>Cut, Copy & Paste. Aside from that being a rather odd option to make the default (I'd have thought in-line, square or tight would be preferable), if it's not working, that suggests you might need to repair the Office installation (via Start>Windows Control Panel>Programs>Programs & Features>Microsoft Office (version)>Change).

I need it to be in front of text because any other option (other than behind text which makes it unselectable unless I use the select tool) moves around the words when I paste. I want to be able to position the picture freely on the page without having to worry about the text shifting around every time.

I will try repairing and post back here

Unless you're content to have your text hidden behind the images, though, you'll eventually have to change the wrapping. Changing to anything other than 'behind text' will inevitably result in the text - and possibly all subsequent images - moving.
