Why cant I delete the black line at the side of my orginisational chart?

I have been given a Microsoft word 2007 Org chart, it has a black line on the left side and I can't figure out how to remove it, can someone please help?

That could be a compression artefact. You should be able to eliminate it by using Word's cropping tool.
