Default Positioning Footer Graphic to Butt the Left Edge of the Page EXACTLY

I want my page 1 footer graphic to butt the actual left edge of the page. The right edge is butting but the left edge is 2 pts from the edge. The actual size of the page is 8.5" wide and so is the graphic. The graphic is at 100%. Every time I enlarge the footer slightly, it snaps back to the right side and bleeds off the right side of the page. What can I do to force the graphic to the left edge of the page?

Try making the graphic's alignment centered, rather than left or right.

Thank you. I tried that but the image still will not butt the left edge of the page. It's soooo close...just a couple of points. I checked the image crop in Photoshop and it's tight all the way around...no white space.

As good as Word is with wysiwyg, the on-screen representation may not exactly reflect what will happen at print time. Try saving the file in PDF format then seeing if it looks OK on the PDF. If not, you may need to scale the image up by the missing couple of points.

In any event, unless your printer does full-width page bleeds, you're going to have a blank border arounf the edges regardless of what you do with the image.
