Hello experts or frustrated individuals like myself!

Anyway, almost each time I insert an image (jpeg) in a text (in this case my 300 page dissertation), all the pre-existing images become misaligned or get shifted to another page.

I have played with the text formatting and positioning features for hours but in vain.

What am I doing wrong?
